Orbital ATK’s Antares rocket blasted off on November 12 and heads to the International Space Station. Spaceship took off from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. The mission is to send the company’s Cygnus spaceship to orbit for the start of a two-day journey. They will deliver science experiments and 3 ½ tons of provisions to the International Space Station. Dubbed the “SS Gene Cernan” after the late Apollo and Gemini astronaut who was the last man to walk on the moon. Cygnus is going to reach the destination on November 14. Then specialists will attach it to the Unity module for a three-week stay.
